Savo Glisic
In addition to his professorship at the University of Oulu, Finland, Dr. Glisic is also on the Associate Staff of the Consultare Group, Inc. He has been active in the field of wireless technology for over 30 years, and published numerous papers, and books. His latest books are Advanced Wireless Communications: 4G Cognitive Broadband Technologies, 2nd Edition , John & Wiley 2007; Advanced Wireless Networks: 4G Technologies John & Wiley 2006; Advanced Wireless Communications: 4G Technologies John & Wiley 2004; Adaptive WCDMA: Theory and Practice John & Wiley 2002.
His active research areas include: MIMO systems, multicarrier communications, linear precodin, multiuser communications., space time coding, cooperative diversity, MAC layer related and game theory and convex optimization theory based cognitive algorithms in 4G.
He chaired the Technical Program Committee of the IEEE International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications in 1994, the IEEE Internationl Symposium on Personal, Indoor, and Mobile Radio Communications in 1997 and IEEE ComSoc ICC conference 2001.
