Transportation
The Boston T Subway system is quite easy to use, and is probably more convenient than driving a car in most cases. Note that parking is typically very expensive in the downtown Boston area.
Two bus lines serve the Burlington, MA course location on Van de Graaff avenue. The number 354 bus stops right outside the hotel and will take you directly downtown to State Street, which is near the Government Center T-station and city hall, as well as Fanueil Hall. The number 350 bus stops at the corner and will take you to the Alewife T station at the end of the Red line. The hotel shuttle may also be able to take you to the nearest commuter rail line which can take you to downtown Boston (ask the front desk for details - this option is not always available).
