Boston
Among the many things to see and do in Boston, we have provided
links to descriptions of some favorite activities:
- Freedom

This is a self-guided walking tour of historic sites. The trail
is well marked by a red line painted on the sidewalk.
- Faneuil
Hall & Quincy Market
This is an enjoyable place to get a simple meal, do some shopping,
and watch people go by.
- Duck-boat tour
A unique twist on the typical city bus tour. This tour gives
you a duck's view of the Charles riverfront. Tickets can sell
out early so call ahead.
- View
from Prudential Building Observatory
It is always good to get a bird's eye view of the city. The
Prudential Center is also a starting point for the Duck tours.

Transportation
The Boston T
Subway system is quite easy to use, and is probably more convenient
than driving a car in most cases. Note that parking is typically
very expensive in the downtown Boston area.
Two bus lines serve the Burlington, MA course location on Van
de Graaff avenue. The number 354
bus stops right outside the hotel and will take you directly
downtown to State Street, which is near the Government Center
T-station and city hall, as well as Fanueil Hall. The number 350
bus stops at the corner and will take you to the Alewife
T station at the end of the Red
line. The hotel shuttle may also be able to take you to
the nearest commuter rail line which can take you to downtown
Boston (ask the front desk for details - this option is not always
available).
